Kawasaki has recently introduced the 2024 Z900 RS in Malaysia, following its global unveiling a few months ago. The new model year brings a fresh Yellow Ball Edition color variant, featuring a striking combination of yellow and black on the fuel tank’s sides, with yellow pinstripes on the rear section and the retro-themed Kawasaki logo. Despite this new color option, the Z900 RS retains its classic design elements, including the round headlamp with LED lighting, a twin-pod instrument cluster with an LCD screen, and a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, all mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels with road tires.
Under the hood, the Z900 RS is powered by a 948cc inline-four-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed gearbox, delivering 110bhp and 98.5Nm of torque. The motorcycle features a braking system with 300mm twin discs at the front and a 250mm single disc at the rear. Weighing in at 215kg, it has a 17-litre fuel tank.
In terms of features, the Z900 RS includes full-LED lighting and a semi-digital instrument cluster. The instrument panel features an analogue speedometer and tachometer, while digital readouts such as the fuel gauge, gear position indicator, odometer, and trip meter are displayed on the LCD screen. Electronic rider aids consist of dual-channel ABS and a traction control system.
While the 2024 Z900 RS has been launched in India, the Yellow Ball color option is not available, and it is unlikely to be introduced in the Indian market.
