KTM has unveiled the latest iteration of the 125 Duke in Europe, marking significant updates for the model in 2024. As the smallest member of the Duke family, the 125 Duke has undergone changes in terms of cosmetics, mechanics, and features.
In line with the radical updates seen in the larger 250 and 390 Duke models, the 2024 KTM 125 Duke now features a redesigned LED headlight, a sculpted fuel tank with larger shrouds, and a split seat with an exposed rear subframe. The bike is offered in two paint schemes for 2024 – blue with orange and blue with black.
Powering the new KTM 125 Duke is a 125cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine producing 14.75bhp and 11.5Nm of torque. It comes with a six-speed gearbox and is housed in a steel trellis frame. The suspension setup includes WP Apex USD front forks and an offset monoshock, while braking is handled by a 320mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc with switchable dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch wheels equipped with Michelin Road 5 tires.
Key features of the 2024 KTM 125 Duke include LED lighting, a TFT display with smartphone connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation and media control, along with supermoto ABS. It is anticipated that the India-spec model may feature an LCD dash and MRF tires, similar to the new 250 Duke, to manage costs effectively.
The 2024 KTM 125 Duke is priced at GBP 4,899 (approximately Rs. 5.16 lakh without taxes) in Europe, indicating a significant price difference compared to the Indian market. However, the new 125 Duke is expected to be priced slightly higher than the current-generation model, currently retailing at Rs. 1.78 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
