Ather has adjusted the pricing of its entry-level model, the 450S, with the e-scooter now commencing at Rs 1,09,999, excluding the Pro Pack. Opting for the 450S with the Pro Pack will incur an additional cost of Rs 10,000, unlocking a range of connected and smart features.
Remaining mechanically identical to its predecessor, the 450S features an LCD display instead of the TFT found on the 450X. The scooter is equipped with a 2.9kWh battery, providing an IDC-claimed range of 115km in its lowest SmartEco mode, with a real-world range of 90km. Home charging is relatively slow, taking 6 hours and 36 minutes for 0-80 percent, but Ather Grid fast-charging stations can replenish the 450S at a rate of 1.5km/min.
Boasting 5.4kW and 22Nm of torque, the 450S maintains its agile performance, with a claimed top speed of 90kph. The Pro Pack enhances the scooter’s capabilities, offering features such as coasting regen, vehicle fall safe, tow and theft alerts, along with access to ride modes and Bluetooth connectivity.
With its revised pricing, the Ather 450S now positions itself competitively below its nearest rivals – the Bajaj Chetak Urbane (Rs 1.15 lakh), base TVS iQube (Rs 1.23 lakh), and Ola S1 Air (Rs 1.20 lakh).
