Hyundai is preparing to launch the Alcazar facelift shortly after updating the Creta. Anticipated to hit the market by May or June, the refreshed Alcazar will become Hyundai’s third SUV launch this year, following the upcoming debut of the Creta N Line next month.
The Alcazar, essentially a three-row version of the Creta, boasts its distinct identity and a more upscale appearance. The facelifted Alcazar is expected to feature styling updates similar to the refreshed Creta, with unique elements including the front bumper, grille, headlamp design, Daytime Running Lamp signature, alloy wheels, and rear tail-light design.
Inside, the Alcazar facelift is likely to adopt the new dashboard design introduced in the Creta facelift. Expect a feature-rich lineup with technology like twin 10.25-inch screens, an ADAS suite, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, and ventilated seats carried over from the Creta. While cabin space and seating arrangements remain unchanged, adjustments to upholstery and interior shades may be introduced for a refreshed look.
Mechanically, no changes are anticipated for the updated Alcazar, which will retain the 160hp, 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine and the 115hp, 1.5-liter diesel engine from the Creta. Both engines will be updated to comply with BS6 Stage II emissions norms, with existing manual and automatic transmission options likely to continue.
A slight increase in prices for certain variants of the Alcazar facelift is expected, with more details anticipated as the launch date approaches. Competing with models like the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Mahindra XUV700, the Alcazar continues to be a strong contender in the SUV segment.
