Hyundai Motor India has revealed that its five-seater SUV, the Creta, has achieved a milestone of over 1 million unit sales in the country. This accomplishment comes over the span of eight years since its debut in 2015, solidifying its position as one of the leading mid-size SUVs in India. Alongside domestic sales, the automaker has exported over 280,000 units of the Creta to international markets.
Presently, Hyundai offers the Creta in seven variants, featuring both petrol and diesel powertrains. The pricing for the model ranges from Rs. 11 lakh to Rs. 20.15 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it against competitors such as the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, and the Volkswagen Taigun.
Tarun Garg, COO of Hyundai Motor India Ltd., expressed his thoughts on this achievement, stating, “The Hyundai Creta has resonated deeply with Indian customers, encapsulating the essence of the SUV lifestyle. With over one million Cretas traversing Indian roads, the ‘Creta’ brand has reinforced its stature as the premier SUV choice. The recently unveiled new Hyundai Creta has also garnered remarkable customer interest, amassing over 60,000 bookings since its announcement. We are sincerely thankful for the affection and confidence our customers have bestowed upon the Creta. As pioneers in groundbreaking technologies, we are committed to setting new benchmarks and redefining standards across various industry segments.”
