The Hyundai Creta has maintained its strong sales performance in 2023, with approximately 1,55,000 units sold, retaining the title of India’s best-selling midsize SUV. Despite the impressive sales figures, the company still has about 23,000 units awaiting delivery. To address this, Hyundai has allowed customers with bookings for the outgoing Creta to opt for the facelift version instead.
The total booking order backlog for Hyundai stands at 90,000 units, with the Creta constituting over 25% of this backlog. In an interaction with Tarun Garg, COO of Hyundai Motor India, it was revealed that deliveries of the Creta facelift will run concurrently with the pre-facelift model. The Creta facelift is scheduled to debut on January 16, and due to the backlog, customers can expect deliveries by the end of January.
The facelifted Creta features exterior design changes aligning it with newer Hyundai models, incorporates the Alcazar’s full digital dials, and brings other feature updates. It will introduce the new 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine from the Verna, alongside the existing 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines.
For detailed engine and variant information, refer to the official specifications. While prices for the Creta facelift are expected to increase, the current price range starts at Rs. 10.87 lakh and goes up to Rs. 19.2 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
