The pricing details for the Hyundai Creta facelift are set to be unveiled on January 16, 2024, as confirmed by the Korean brand. The updated midsize SUV is anticipated to fall in the price range of Rs 11 lakh to Rs 19.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), positioning it against competitors such as the Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, and other midsize SUVs.
The design sketches released by Hyundai validate the appearance seen in previously leaked images. The Creta facelift introduces a fresh front-end design consistent with Hyundai’s newer models, exuding a more upright and robust aesthetic. Notably, the exterior features all-LED lighting, including a full-width LED light bar with inverted L-shaped elements at the front and an LED light bar connecting the split tail-lamp setup at the rear. The sketches also confirm the leaked images with updated alloy wheels, though they appear to be 17-inchers, not 18-inch units.
Regarding the interior, Hyundai has implemented significant updates for the Creta facelift. Notable enhancements include twin 10.25-inch connected screens, revised dash and AC vent design, and a plethora of new features. Higher trims of the Creta facelift boast creature comforts such as dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, an eight-speaker Bose sound system, ventilated front seats, an eight-way powered driver’s seat, a Level 2 ADAS suite with 19 functions, 360-degree cameras, and a blind spot monitoring system, among others.
In terms of engines, while the Creta facelift retains the 115hp, 1.5-liter petrol and diesel engines with respective automatic and manual gearbox options, it introduces a new 160hp, 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine. This unit comes standard with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The refreshed Creta will be available in seven trims, with deliveries expected to commence later this month, as bookings have already opened.
