Audi India experienced substantial success in 2023, achieving an impressive 88 percent growth in the initial nine months and surpassing 5,500 unit sales. Throughout the year, the German luxury brand expanded its portfolio with the introduction of the Q3 Sportback, Q8 e-tron, and Q8 e-tron Sportback. Looking ahead to 2024, Audi plans to unveil at least two facelifts and introduce a new electric vehicle to the Indian market. Here’s a glimpse of what’s on the horizon and their anticipated release schedule.

The updates for the Audi Q8 primarily focus on cosmetic enhancements both inside and outside the vehicle. Notably, these changes include the addition of HD Matrix LED headlights. The pre-facelift model’s 340hp, 3.0-liter V6 turbo-petrol engine, 8-speed automatic transmission, and Quattro AWD system will be retained in the updated Q8. Having experienced the Q8 facelift, it’s confirmed that the modifications are relatively mild, contributing to maintaining prices in a similar range to the outgoing model, which is priced between Rs 1.07 crore and Rs 1.43 crore.

The Audi A6 facelift, unveiled internationally in May 2023, is expected to make its way to India about a year later. The refreshed A6 features subtle exterior tweaks, minor interior changes, and some new features. Exterior updates include revised matrix LED headlights with cleaner DRLs, a more prominent single-frame grille, and adjustments to the front and rear bumpers. The model will also offer a new set of alloy wheels. The existing model’s 245hp, 2.0-liter mild-hybrid turbo-petrol engine and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission are anticipated to continue unchanged.

The Q6 e-tron represents an all-new electric SUV based on Audi’s recently developed Premium Platform Electric (PPE). It incorporates the latest battery and charging technology along with the brand’s new ‘E3’ electronics architecture. While complete powertrain details are yet to be disclosed, it is known that the Q6 e-tron will utilize an 800V architecture with a range of approximately 600km. The interior will feature Audi’s new infotainment technology with twin screens in a curved layout, including an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen. Additionally, there will be an extra 10.9-inch screen for the front passenger. The Q6 e-tron will also boast advanced digital matrix LED headlights with a multi-pixel LED array and second-generation digital OLED technology. Positioned as a smaller and more affordable electric SUV, the Q6 e-tron is expected to be positioned below the Q8 e-tron.
