MG Motor India is gearing up to adjust the prices across its entire lineup in the country, with the revisions set to take effect from January 2024. While the automaker has not disclosed the specific details regarding the extent or percentage of the price adjustments, it cites reasons for this decision.
According to MG, the hike is necessitated by the escalating cost of operations, overall inflation, and the increased prices of commodities. Presently, MG Motor has a lineup of six models available in the Indian market, including Comet EV, Astor, Hector, Hector Plus, ZS EV, and Gloster.
Simultaneously, as part of year-end promotions, the carmaker is offering substantial discounts across its range throughout December 2023.
In a recent development, MG Motor India entered into a joint venture agreement with the JSW Group. This partnership entails JSW Group acquiring a 35 per cent stake in the Indian operations of the SAIC Motor-owned business.
