Royal Enfield Launches Himalayan 450 at Motoverse 2023

Royal Enfield introduced the Himalayan 450 during the Motoverse 2023 event in Goa. Replacing the Himalayan 411, this adventure motorcycle comes in four variants with a starting price of Rs 2.69 lakh (ex-showroom). Built on a twin-spar tubular frame designed for rough terrains, the Himalayan 450 features an LED headlamp and a 4-inch digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and a Ride-by-Wire system.

Powering the Himalayan 450 is a 452cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers 39.5 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm @ 5,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox through a slip-and-assist clutch. It offers two riding modes – Eco and Performance.
For handling diverse terrains, the adventure bike boasts a 43 mm upside-down front fork with 200 mm travel and an adjustable mono-shock at the rear with 200 mm travel as well. The braking setup includes a single 320 mm disc at the front and a 270 mm disc at the rear, supported by switchable ABS. The Himalayan 450 rides on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels fitted with dual-purpose tires.

Competing with models like the KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G 310 GS, and the Yezdi Adventure, the Himalayan 450 comes in four variants with the following ex-showroom prices:
Base (Kaza Brown) – Rs 2.69 lakh
Pass (Slate Himalayan Salt, Slate Poppy Blue) – Rs 2.74 lakh
Summit (Kamet White) – Rs 2.79 lakh
Summit (Hanle Black) – Rs 2.84 lakh
