Skoda Enyaq EV Debuts in India At the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 Prior to Official Launch

Skoda India has introduced the new Enyaq all-electric SUV at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024, alongside other Volkswagen Group models like the Porsche Taycan, the Lamborghini Revuelto, and select Skoda-VW’s India 2.0 vehicles.Although the Enyaq has been spotted testing in India over the past few years, its official launch in the country is pending. Globally unveiled in 2020, the SUV and its Coupe variant received significant upgrades late last year, including enhanced powertrain options with increased power, extended range, and improved fast charging capabilities.The Enyaq adopts Skoda’s familiar design language characterized by sleek surfaces, distinct body lines, and the iconic Skoda Butterfly grille. Inside, the emphasis is on digitization, featuring a large central touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, and a minimalist dashboard design.Offered with various powertrain configurations globally, the Enyaq lineup includes the entry-level Enyaq 60 with a single motor generating 177 bhp and 310 Nm of torque paired with a 58 kWh battery pack. Additionally, there’s the more potent Enyaq 85 available in rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive versions, producing 281 bhp with a 77 kWh battery pack. The range-topping RS model delivers 335 bhp and 545 Nm of torque, offering an impressive range of up to 562 km (WLTP), depending on the variant.The showcased model at the Expo is the Enyaq 85. Skoda is anticipated to launch the Enyaq in the Indian market in the upcoming months, likely in its Enyaq 85 specification, featuring a single range-topping variant.
