Skoda has unveiled the Octavia facelift, representing the first refresh for the fourth-generation model since its debut in 2019. Available in sedan and estate versions, it will offer four petrol and two diesel engine choices internationally. The Octavia has been Skoda’s top-selling model, with over seven million units sold since its inception in 1996.
In terms of appearance, the Octavia facelift features minor tweaks while maintaining the essence of the pre-facelift model. The most noticeable changes include new second-generation matrix LED headlights and a redesigned front air intake, accompanied by the updated two-dimensional Skoda logo. Additionally, new color options and alloy wheel designs are available. The sportier Octavia RS variant receives updates to its wheels and interior.
Internally, the Octavia facelift retains its layout but now offers a larger 13-inch infotainment screen and various upholstery and trim options. The RS variant features sports seats and black upholstery. Standard features include a 10-inch infotainment screen, digital instrument cluster with integrated ChatGPT voice assistant, dual-zone climate control, and a 15-watt wireless phone charger with built-in cooling.
Regarding powertrains, the Octavia offers four petrol and two diesel options, with select petrol engines offering mild-hybrid technology and DSG gearbox choices. Power outputs range from 114 bhp to 262 bhp, with transmission options including manual and automatic.
While not confirmed, it’s expected that the Octavia facelift will arrive in India later this year or early next year, likely as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), which may affect pricing.
