Following numerous previews and teasers, Audi has officially announced that the Q6 e-tron will make its international debut on March 18th. This addition to Audi’s electric vehicle (EV) lineup will bring the brand’s total EV offerings in global markets to eight, providing a highly anticipated electric alternative to the Q5 SUV.

Key features of the Audi Q6 e-tron include a claimed range of 600km, a twin-screen cockpit layout with a separate passenger screen, and 536 liters of boot space, expandable up to 1,529 liters. The interior boasts a curved, panoramic 14.5-inch infotainment display, an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.9-inch screen integrated into the dashboard for personalized functionality. The cabin utilizes eco-friendly materials and incorporates soft-touch surfaces for added comfort.

Developed on the PPE electric car platform in collaboration with Porsche, the Q6 e-tron shares most of its underpinnings with the Porsche Macan EV. It features an 800V electrical architecture, enabling rapid charging of up to 270kW. While specific performance figures are yet to be disclosed, Audi has hinted at a combined output of 470hp and 800Nm of peak torque from its twin-motor, four-wheel-drive powertrain.

Regarding its India launch, with the global unveiling set for March 18th, it’s likely that the Audi Q6 e-tron SUV will enter the Indian market shortly afterward. Currently, Audi offers multiple EVs in India, including the Q8 e-tron, Q8 e-tron Sportback, e-tron, e-tron Sportback, e-tron GT, and RS e-tron GT.
