KTM is bringing back its highly anticipated one-make racing championship, the KTM Cup, for the year 2024. The selection rounds are slated to commence on March 22nd at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore, followed by subsequent rounds in three other major cities in April and May. The qualifiers and grand finale are scheduled to take place between May 24th and 26th in Coimbatore.

The inaugural season of the championship, held last year, drew the participation of over 1,000 racers from across India. The three champions from the previous season were granted the exclusive opportunity to train with KTM experts at the Slovakia Ring and engage with KTM Factory racing athletes. Similar rewards await the winners this season as well, with the chance to train alongside MotoGP legends and former Grand Prix winners at the Red Bull Ring in Salzburg, Austria. Additionally, the season will be overseen by Jeremy McWilliams, a former MotoGP racer with notable achievements in the 500cc and 250cc classes.

For the 2024 season, KTM has introduced three distinct categories – Pros, Amateurs, and Women. The Pros category will feature participants from the previous season, excluding the winners, along with FMSCI license holders and INMRC Racers from the past three years. The Amateur and Women categories are tailored for male and female riders, respectively, who either own KTM motorcycles or are passionate motorcycle enthusiasts.
