Porsche India has introduced its second electric vehicle offering in the country, the Macan Turbo EV, marking the brand’s inaugural fully electric SUV. Priced at Rs. 1.65 crore (ex-showroom), the Macan Turbo EV is available in a single, fully loaded variant. Interested buyers can now reserve this electric SUV, with deliveries set to commence in the second half of 2024.
The electric Macan maintains a design akin to its ICE version, featuring distinctive four-point LED DRLs, split LED headlamps, frameless doors, a connected LED bar at the rear, coupe-style body, and 22-inch alloy wheels.
Internally, the Porsche Turbo EV boasts a curved 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment display, physical buttons for air conditioning controls, a heads-up display, and an optional 10.9-inch screen for the front passenger. Additional features include optional rear-wheel steering with a maximum angle of five degrees, Porsche active suspension management, and Porsche traction management.
The Macan Turbo EV SUV, based on the new Premium Platform Electric (PPE) with 800-volt architecture, draws power from a 100kWh battery pack and boasts a WLTP-claimed range of up to 591km. Charging from 10-80% can be achieved in about 21 minutes using a 270kW DC fast charger. The dual-motor setup on both axles generates 630bhp and 1130Nm of torque, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0-100kmph in just 3.3 seconds.
