Launched in India on January 11th, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is exclusively available with rear-wheel drive (RWD). As Hyundai’s most expensive car, it received the prestigious Green Car of the Year award at the ICOTY 2024 (Indian Car of the Year). Here are the top five interior highlights of the Ioniq 5 EV:

1. 3.0-Metre Wheelbase:

As an electric vehicle designed from the ground up, the Ioniq 5 takes advantage of its EV architecture, overcoming the limitations of Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles or ICE-derived EVs. Hyundai maximized interior space by pushing the wheels to the outer edges and maintaining a low center of gravity, resulting in an impressive 3.0-meter wheelbase. This not only sets a benchmark in its class but also outshines rivals in its price range.

2. All Powered Seats:

Surpassing expectations for its price range, the Ioniq 5 features all powered seats. The front seats boast ventilation and lumbar support, while the rear seats offer heating and a manual recline function. All four seats come equipped with a memory function, and the front seats include a sliding center console for additional space.

3. Dual Digital Displays:

A standard feature in Hyundai’s current lineup, the Ioniq 5 showcases the dual 12.3-inch HD displays with high-quality graphics and a buttonless design. While this button-free approach may pose challenges in usability, it contributes to a sleek and cohesive visual aesthetic.

4. Panoramic Sunroof:

To enhance the already bright and airy cabin, the Ioniq 5 features a dual panoramic sunroof. Operated electrically via dashboard buttons and voice control through the Bluelink-connected car system, the sunroof adds to the overall immersive experience.

5. Dual-Zone Climate Control:

Completing the list of notable features, the Ioniq 5 is equipped with dual-zone climate control. Offering separate climate zones for the front and rear, each section comes with individual controls. Activation can be done through the official mobile app or voice commands when inside the vehicle.
