Booking for CNG variants of the Toyota Rumion has been temporarily suspended. The prices for the model in India start from Rs. 10.44 lakh (ex-showroom). Toyota introduced the Rumion, a rebranded version of the Maruti Ertiga, to the Indian market in August 2023. Since its launch, the Rumion has gained popularity among MPV buyers in the country, resulting in a waiting period for the vehicle.
The Toyota Rumion is available in three variants: S, G, and V, offered with both petrol and CNG powertrains. Currently, customers interested in purchasing the petrol variants of the Rumion may face a waiting period of 28-32 weeks from the date of booking. However, those considering the CNG variants might need to reconsider their decision as bookings for these models have been put on hold.
Powered solely by a 1.5-liter petrol engine, the Rumion produces 103bhp/136Nm in petrol mode and 87bhp/121Nm when running on CNG. It comes with a standard five-speed manual transmission, while the petrol variant also offers the option of a six-speed torque converter unit.
Competing against models like the Maruti Suzuki Eritga and the Kia Carens, the Toyota Rumion MPV is priced between Rs. 10.44 lakh and Rs. 13.73 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
