Citroen C3 and C3 Aircross to Undergo Significant Facelifts Early Next Year

Estimated read time 2 min read

Major design updates are on the horizon for the Citroen C3 and C3 Aircross, slated for an early release next year. While the powertrain options will remain consistent, Citroen aims to introduce revamped versions of the C3 and C3 Aircross with enhanced aesthetics and premium materials, aligning with French design sensibilities. Concurrently, efforts are underway to enrich the current lineup with additional features by July this year.

The 2025 Citroen models will undergo cosmetic enhancements, including redesigned lamps and bumpers, while maintaining a distinct French flair. Addressing feedback from Indian buyers regarding omitted features, the 2025 models will reintroduce these amenities, ensuring a comprehensive package. Notably, the top-spec C3 Aircross is anticipated to incorporate features like LED headlamps, keyless entry, electric folding mirrors, ventilated front seats, push-button start, automatic climate control, sunroof, cruise control, and wireless charging, enhancing its competitiveness in the market. Furthermore, the C3 Aircross will retain its versatile seating configurations.

Regarding powertrain options, the facelifted models will retain the existing engine choices and recently introduced automatic transmission. Presently, the C3 Aircross is equipped with a 109bhp 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox. The C3 offers two engine variants: a 1.2-litre turbo with a six-speed manual and a naturally aspirated 1.2-litre unit generating 81bhp, coupled with a five-speed manual transmission.

Anticipating additional features and aesthetic updates, a slight increase in prices for the facelifted models can be expected. Nevertheless, Citroen aims to maintain competitiveness in the market, particularly against rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Tata Punch, Maruti Ignis, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite.
