Mahindra has reported a 24% year-on-year growth in its December 2023 sales. The company’s passenger vehicle sales for the month reached 35,171 units, a notable increase from the 28,445 units sold during the same period in 2022.
As the new year unfolds, Mahindra is gearing up to introduce multiple new models. The initial releases are expected to include the updated XUV400 EV and the XUV300 facelift, followed by the Bolero Neo Plus. Later in the year, Mahindra plans to launch the five-door version of the Thar, followed by the XUV.e8, an electric variant of the XUV700. The electric version of the XUV700 is also anticipated to come in a captain seat format later this year.
Veejay Nakra, President of the Automotive Division at M&M, commented on the sales performance, stating, “In December, we sold a total of 35,171 SUVs, a healthy growth of 24 per cent over last year. We continued to face some supply challenges on select parts. We are working closely with our suppliers to mitigate these challenges going forward.”
