Max Verstappen’s dominant victory in Bahrain set a formidable tone for the 2024 F1 season, with his Red Bull Racing teammate Sergio Perez securing second place. Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz claimed the final podium spot, outperforming his teammate Charles Leclerc.

Verstappen secured his 55th career victory at the 2024 Bahrain GP, leading from pole position to the checkered flag. Perez’s second-place finish contributed to Red Bull Racing’s strong start to the season, ensuring a 1-2 finish for the team.

Despite challenges from Leclerc, Sainz emerged as the best-performing Ferrari driver, clinching third place. Meanwhile, Mercedes faced difficulties, with George Russell encountering engine overheating issues and Lewis Hamilton struggling with electrical problems and a broken seat, resulting in a fifth and seventh-place finish, respectively.

The McLaren duo of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri finished in sixth and eighth positions, respectively, while Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll struggled for pace, securing ninth and tenth place.

Tensions arose within the VCARB team when Yuki Tsunoda was instructed to yield to teammate Daniel Ricciardo in the race’s closing stages, leading to disagreements over team orders and strategy between the drivers.
