Qargos, an EV startup based in Pune, has introduced its latest utility-focused electric scooter, the F9. Sporting a distinctive ‘block-shaped’ front section, the F9 boasts an impressive 225-liter storage capacity, claimed to be the largest among scooters globally. To put this into perspective, it’s approximately four times the size of the total storage area provided by a River Indie scooter. The F9 is powered by a 3.4 kW BLDC hub motor and is equipped with a 6.1 kWh battery, offering a claimed real-world range of up to 150 km. The launch date for the scooter in the Indian market is yet to be confirmed.
In terms of appearance, the e-scooter features a futuristic and somewhat unconventional design, highlighted by its LED headlamp seamlessly integrated into the large block-shaped body panel containing the storage compartment. This compartment, capable of bearing loads up to 120 kg, offers versatility, allowing customization for various purposes such as refrigeration, mobile vending, or roadside assistance services. The scooter has a compact rear end, accommodating seating for only one passenger. Additionally, it is equipped with a digital instrument cluster.
Regarding its components, the e-scooter is outfitted with a telescopic fork setup at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear for suspension. Braking is managed by disc brakes on both ends. Powering the Qargos F9 is a 3.4 kW BLDC hub motor, allowing for a top speed of 80 kmph. The battery configuration comprises a 6.1 kWh Lithium-ion battery, providing a claimed real-world range of up to 150 km.
