Fiat has officially unveiled the US-Spec 2024 Fiat 500e, confirming its arrival in the United States in 2024. The company plans to have the electric hatchbacks available in dealerships by the first quarter of 2024, starting with the (Product) Red edition priced at $34,095.
Equipped with a 42-kWh battery pack, the 500e offers a range of 149 miles on a single charge. Charging the battery takes approximately four hours and 15 minutes with an 11-kW Level 2 charger. For quick charging, the 500e can charge at 85 kW, allowing the battery to reach 80% capacity in just 35 minutes. The electric hatchback features a single motor delivering 115 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 8.5 seconds.
The interior design is similar to European models, providing seating for four, a standard 10.25-inch UConnect media screen, and a seven-inch digital instrument cluster. The 500e includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, with standard navigation on the (Product) Red model. The rear seats are split 50/50 and can be laid flat to increase cargo space.
As a modern BEV, the Fiat 500e incorporates several driver-assistance features, including standard automatic emergency braking, pedestrian alert, and lane-keep assist. Fiat adopts a unique approach to the 500e launch, following a merch-drop strategy rather than a traditional car rollout.
