Tata Motors introduced the Dark Editions of the Harrier and Safari alongside their facelift versions in India in October 2023. Now, at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024, the automaker has unveiled the Red Dark Edition of its flagship three-row SUV, the Safari. Expected to hit the market soon in the coming months, this special variant of the Safari will be available alongside the standard models. Below are the key highlights of the Safari Red Dark Edition.

Exterior

The Red Dark Edition of the Safari features horizontal red inserts near the LED headlamps and a black-finished Tata logo upfront. On the sides, both the front and rear brake callipers, along with the Safari badging on the front doors, are painted red. At the rear, the only modification is the red-painted Safari badging on the tailgate. Otherwise, the SUV retains its appearance from the Dark Edition.

Interior

Inside the SUV, Tata Motors has maintained the red and black theme. The dashboard sports an all-black interior with red accents and Dark badging throughout. Red-painted door handles and grab handles on the center console are complemented by red seat upholstery and ambient lighting. Additionally, the panoramic sunroof features red ambient lighting around it. The Safari Red Dark Edition includes all the features available on the top-spec variant of the Safari.

Engine and Powertrain

The Safari Red Edition retains the same 2.0-litre diesel engine as the standard Safari, producing 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed torque converter.
