Toyota India Issued a Recall for 269 Units of the Land Cruiser 300

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has initiated a voluntary recall for its premium SUV, the Land Cruiser 300, involving 269 units manufactured between February 12, 2021, and February 1, 2023. The recall is to reprogram the ECU software of the automatic transmission. Fortunately, there have been no reported incidents associated with the affected component.

Affected SUV owners will receive a complimentary software update for their vehicles. Toyota assures that customers can continue using their SUVs until the software update is completed. Toyota representatives will reach out to customers individually to address the issue. Customers with inquiries can reach out to their nearest dealer or contact the brand’s customer assistance center.

The current price of the LC300 stands at Rs. 2.10 crore (ex-showroom), available in a single, fully equipped variant. Under the hood, it features a 3.3-liter V6 diesel engine generating 305bhp and 700Nm of torque, paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission.
