Hyundai is gearing up to introduce a new Sportz (O) variant for the i20 hatchback, positioning it between the Sportz and Asta trims. Expected to come with three additional features, including an electric sunroof, a wireless charging pad, and a cushioned armrest for the driver-side door pad, this variant will build on the updates introduced in the mild facelift of the i20 in September 2023.
Remaining rooted in the Sportz variant, the i20 Sportz (O) will retain features such as LED tail lamps, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, a cooled glovebox, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a height-adjustable driver seat.
It is anticipated that the new variant will be available with the existing 1.2-liter petrol engine, offering both manual and automatic transmission options. Hyundai’s i20 lineup currently includes the Era, Magna, Sportz, Asta, and Asta (O) variants, with prices starting at Rs. 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
