Lamborghini achieved a significant milestone in India in 2023 by selling over 100 cars, marking an almost 12 percent increase from the previous year’s 92 units. Additionally, Mercedes-Benz India, BMW India, and Audi India also reported their highest annual sales figures in 2023. On a global scale, Lamborghini set a record for its best-ever annual sales, delivering more than 10,000 cars in 2023, reflecting a 10 percent growth over the previous year’s tally of 10,112 units.
Key points from the sales report include the following:
– Lamborghini India sold 103 cars in 2023, positioning India among the 15 largest markets for the luxury brand.
– Globally, the Urus SUV emerged as the bestseller, with 6,087 units sold during the year.
– Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, expressed pride in surpassing the 10,000-car delivery mark, emphasizing the company’s readiness to embrace new challenges in 2024.
– Sales distribution across three macro-regions showed a 14 percent increase in Europe (EMEA) with a total of 3,987 cars, a 9 percent increase in the Americas (total: 3,465), and a 4 percent increase in APAC (total: 2,660).
– The United States remained the top market, followed by Germany, China, the United Kingdom, Japan, and others.
– The Urus continued its success as the top model, with 6,087 units sold, followed by the Huracan with 3,962 units.
– Lamborghini celebrated its 60th anniversary and unveiled the Lamborghini Revuelto, the first V12 High-Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV).
– The company is actively pursuing its electrification plan, introducing the Lanzador concept car and the Lamborghini SC63 for racing in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
Federico Foschini, Lamborghini’s Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, outlined the company’s growth plans for 2024, aiming to continue the positive trend in the three macro-regions with the contribution of the Lamborghini Revuelto.
