Mahindra Thar Waiting Period Decreased to 52 Weeks in February 2024

The Mahindra Thar is priced starting from Rs. 11.25 lakh in India. A five-door version is set to be introduced in the country later this year.

Mahindra continues to experience significant demand for the Thar, even three years after its launch in India. The model, available in two variants and various colors, offers petrol and diesel engine options paired with manual and automatic transmissions.

Mahindra recently disclosed that in the current month, the Thar has an average waiting period of up to 52 weeks or 12 months nationwide, with the RWD version being in highest demand.

As of February 2024, Mahindra has yet to fulfill approximately 2.26 lakh bookings. Among these, around 71,000 customers who have made bookings are still awaiting delivery of their Thars. The model continues to attract new bookings at a rate of 7,000 units per month. Additionally, Mahindra plans to launch the five-door version of the Thar later this year, with test mules already spotted on multiple occasions.
