Skoda is set to unveil the refreshed Octavia on February 14, offering a sleeker design as hinted by recent sketches. The Sportline and top-tier vRS models will remain part of the lineup.

The updated Octavia will feature some design refinements but no changes to its powertrain are anticipated. However, an electric Octavia could be revealed later in the decade.

Notable exterior alterations include redesigned bumpers and a revamped front grille, contributing to a sharper appearance along with new headlights.

While specific powertrain details for the facelifted model have yet to be disclosed, it’s likely to offer a range of engine options including 1.5-liter turbo petrol, 2.0-liter turbo diesel, and mild-hybrid configurations, similar to the pre-facelift lineup. Additionally, a plug-in hybrid variant might be introduced, similar to the Kodiaq and Superb models.

Skoda is also preparing an electric version of the Octavia, expected to feature an advanced 89kWh battery with an impressive WLTP range and rapid charging capabilities.

As for its availability in India, Skoda has not confirmed plans to bring the refreshed Octavia to the country, although there have been discussions about introducing the Octavia RS iV with plug-in hybrid technology. The focus in India seems to be on launching the Enyaq iV electric SUV in the latter part of the year, while the return of the Superb remains uncertain.
